This achievement follows a rapid growth trajectory for BYD in NEV production. From reaching the one million mark in May 2021, the company swiftly multiplied this figure threefold within 18 months. Subsequently, within just nine additional months, BYD surpassed the 5 million units milestone. Impressively, within seven months from that point, BYD accelerated to the 7 million mark, underscoring the efficiency of its end-to-end supply chain and the advantages of scale.

In 2023, BYD's cumulative annual sales of NEVs surged to 3.02 million units, cementing its position as the global leader in NEV sales. Various models from its diverse brand portfolio consistently dominated sales rankings within their respective categories.

In 2023, the company witnessed a substantial increase in overseas sales of new energy passenger cars, surpassing 240,000 units. This reflects a remarkable 337% year-on-year growth, positioning BYD as the leading Chinese exporter of new energy vehicles in 2023.

BYD's electric vehicles have been introduced in 64 countries and regions worldwide, supported by strategic investments in manufacturing facilities across Thailand, Brazil, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. Moreover, this year, BYD has become the official partner of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024, showcasing its new energy vehicles on the global stage.

In Nepal, BYD offers a range of electric cars including the Seal, Atto 3, Dolphin, and e6.
